TERMS OF USE
 

Liokastro Harvest Vault – Exceptional Extra Virgin Olive Oil
 

1. Scope of Application

    These Terms of Use apply exclusively to participation in the Liokastro Harvest Vault for Extra Virgin Olive Oil (hereinafter the “Vault”) and do not apply to other services or sections of the Liokastro website.

Participation in the Vault is permitted exclusively to natural persons.
 

2. Nature of the Service

     The Vault constitutes the purchase of exceptional extra virgin olive oil under special terms, in the form of an annual agreement for reserving a specific quantity of product.

It does not constitute a subscription, investment, or financial product, but rather a commitment to an annual quantity of olive oil, delivered in installments throughout the year.
 

3. Registration & Participation

    Participation in the Vault may take place:

  • following an expression of interest and a relevant invitation by the company, or

  • through direct registration and payment, where available.

    The company reserves the right to limit the number of participants per Harvest Vault cycle.
 

4. Olive Oil Reservation

The reservation of the olive oil quantity takes place in two stages:

  1. Partial reservation upon payment of the deposit.
     

  2. Final reservation upon full payment of the total amount.

    The reserved olive oil comes from selected harvests, has undergone chemical and organoleptic analysis, and is stored in stainless steel tanks.
 

5. Payments

    Payment is completed in two stages:

  • deposit upon registration,

  • final payment following relevant notification by email and prior to the first scheduled delivery.

In the event that final payment is not completed within the specified deadline:

  • the amount paid is non-refundable,

  • it is converted into credit for participation in a future Harvest Vault cycle.
     

6. Deliveries

    Deliveries are carried out in installments, on a quarterly basis, within predefined time periods that are announced in advance.
 

    The company is not bound to specific delivery dates, but to delivery timeframes.

A delay of up to thirty (30) days is permitted, without the right to cancellation or compensation, provided that the participant is duly informed.


7. Delivery Method

    The primary delivery method is locker delivery, which is included in the price.

Home delivery is optional and subject to an additional charge.

In the event of non-collection:

  • the product is returned to the company,

  • the cost of return and re-dispatch is borne by the participant.

8. Product Nature & Quality

    Olive oil is a natural agricultural product. Minor variations in taste, aroma, or color may occur between different deliveries, without affecting its quality or compliance with applicable specifications.
 

9. Cancellations & Refunds

    Before final payment:

  • 70% of the deposit is refunded.

  • 30% is retained to cover administrative costs and the Vault Kit.

    After final payment:

  • No refunds are issued.

  • The amount is converted into credit for participation in a future Harvest Vault cycle.
     

10. Right of Withdrawal

    The 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply, as this concerns the purchase of a product under special terms with future deliveries following reservation.


11. Non-Transferability

    Participation in the Vault is personal and may not be transferred or resold to third parties without the express consent of the company.


12. Communication & Notifications

    All communication and notifications are conducted via email.
Participants are responsible for maintaining valid contact details and regularly checking their email.


13. Force Majeure

    The company shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations due to force majeure events, including but not limited to:

  • extreme weather conditions,

  • strikes,

  • transportation issues,

  • production-related matters.

In such cases, delivery is postponed to a later date without compensation.
 

14. Limitation of Liability

    The company’s liability is strictly limited:

  • to the amount paid by the participant,

  • and does not cover indirect or consequential damages.

The company bears no liability for delays beyond its control.
 

15. Amendments to Terms

    The company reserves the right to amend these Terms, provided that such amendments do not materially affect the rights of existing participants and apply to future Harvest Vault cycles.


16. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by Greek law.
The competent courts shall be the courts of Greece.
