It begins in 1875, when our ancestors planted the first olive trees on the land of Methoni—where sun, soil, and sea become one.
Since then, each generation has nurtured this deep bond with the land.
We remember the first harvests, the stories shared around the table, the moment when small hands first sank into a sack of olives. We remember our first step into the olive mill—the aroma, the rhythm, the emotion.

The Inspiration Behind Liokastro
The name Liokastro was born from a moment of quiet beauty: the sunset over Methoni, viewed from its westernmost point, where the sun meets the sea and the golden light embraces the land. It felt like a castle made of light — a lio-kastro. In that luminous stillness, between stone, sea, and sky, we found the soul of our place and our purpose.
